Gvendarskál Ledge

Halfway up Hólabyrðufjall is the bridge called Gvendarskál. A short but steep walk on a stone path, following a marked path to the altar of the bishop (Guðmundur the Good). There you will enjoy a beautiful view of Hjaltadali and the fjord Skagafjörður in the background. By the altar you will find a box with a guest book where you can write your name.
